sandler-training-logo-small1.jpgSandler Sales Institute announced today that it has adopted a new name – Sandler Training – to reflect its broader capabilities and expansion plans. The company, founded in 1967 by visionary sales trainer and author David H. Sandler and Edna C. Sandler, underwent an ownership shift last fall and is now controlled by CEO Dave Mattson and President Bruce Seidman, the son of David Sandler, who passed away in 1995. Edna C. Sandler led the company as President and CEO from 1993 until 2007.

The Training Center For Sales & Business Development was honored with a Platinum Award, identifying The Training Center as one of the highest performing distributors in the world for 2007 at the International Conference of the Objective Management Group, Inc., held in January in Boston, MA. Bob Waks of Lafayette Hill, PA & Bob Sinton of West Chester, PA, both Principals of The Training Center accepted the award. Entrepreneur Magazine awarded its top training programs franchise award for 2008 to Sandler Training, the magazine announced. This is the third consecutive year Sandler has received Entrepreneur’s top ranking, and its seventh win in the past eight years.

Woody Austin finished tied for 18th and Brian Bateman was tied for 23rd at the Mercedes-Benz Championship last weekend.

John Rollins and Omar Uresti, the other half of the Sandler Golf Team, did not participate.

Austin’s best round was a 4-under par 69 in the third round. He sunk 15 birdies and finished 6-under for the tournament to earn $86,000.

Bateman carded a pair of 3-under par 70s and finished 4-under to claim $76,000. He was 5-over par after 21 holes but climbed back on the strength of 16 birdies the rest of the way.
