This weekend, Sandler Training Golf Team star Brian Bateman travels to Grand Blanc, Mich., scene of his 2007 victory at the Buick Open.
Brian will be joined by Sandler Training Golf teammates Woody Austin, John Rollins and Omar Uresti. Over the weekend at the Travelers Championship, John shot a six under par 64 in the second round, followed by a third-round 68.
Following last year’s triumph at the Buick Open at Warwick Hills Golf and Country Club, Brian commented, “It’s been a life-changing week. A life-changing putt.” He was referring to the climactic moment on the 18th green, when he sank a birdie putt that earned him a one-stroke victory. That winning stroke averted a playoff with a trio of PGA players that included Sandler Golf teammate Woody Austin.

Sandler Training Golf Team member John Rollins finished in the Top 50 at the U.S. Open, including a headline-grabbing second round 68. Rollins’ three-under par performance included four birdies. Sandler Training teammate Woody Austin also competed hard at Torrey Pines Golf Course in La Jolla, California.
Sandler Training Golf Team member Omar Uresti posted another Top 25 finish over the weekend in the Stanford St. Jude Championship in Memphis, Tenn. Uresti’s performance—featuring a second round 69, one under par—was his second consecutive Top 25 finish on the PGA Tour.
In May, Uresti was called “on fire” after shooting a seven under par round at the AT&T Classic in Georgia, good enough for a Top 20 performance.
At Stanford St. Jude, Sandler Training Golf teammate Woody Austin also placed in the Top 50.
Now it’s on to the U.S. Open Championship at Torrey Pines Golf Course-South in San Diego, where Sandler Training stars Austin and John Rollins battle for the top spot. Austin and Rollins qualified for the 108th U.S. Open after ending the 2007 PGA Tour in the Top 30 money list.

Sandler Training Golf Team member Woody Austin returns to Memphis, Tenn. this weekend to defend his title from the 2007 Stanford St. Jude Championship.
Austin’s five-shot margin of victory last year capped a memorable performance, including a final round 8-under par 62—marking the best final round at that point of the 2007 PGA Tour. It was the greatest final round by a Memphis winner in the 50-year history of the event, according to PGATour.com.
“It was the most impressive round of golf I’ve ever seen,” Austin’s veteran caddie, Brent Henley, said at the time.
Austin’s title defense comes after another solid performance by Sandler Training golfers at The Memorial Tournament presented by Morgan Stanley in Dublin, Ohio. John Rollins finished in the Top 40, capping the tournament with a two under par 70.

“The Training Center gave each member of our sales team an analysis to identify our areas of strength and weakness pertaining to sales. This opened our eyes to the fact that we definitely needed to be connected with the experts at The Training Center. We all attended the ‘QuickStart’ Sales Training sessions and then continued religiously with the ‘Open Forum’ Classes & Topical Workshops a couple times each month.”
