We just finished our Kick-off session with The Training Center. We here at Roger The Plumber fully committed to the highest possible level of training they offer, because we are fully committed to providing the best tools available for our employees to live the lives they desire, and achieve their life goals.

WOW – I never expected it to be as powerful as it was, and it was just the kick off. I learned so much in just a few hours with him, and I am really looking forward to the rest of our on-going training.

Our technicians were fully enrolled in the conversations that took place, taking notes, asking questions, interacting, and even the ones that in my mind would be resistant, were participating unbelievably.

I know that they got a couple things, in just a short period of time, that they could immediately put into action and start making a difference in their lives.

Every time we have a training or get into a conversation with our Techs about our sales philosophy, it just confirms that we made the best possible decision we could have to better the lives our our Techs and to improve our Company. You could almost see the light bulbs go on as we role played and developed conversations around our sales philosophy. The level of confidence the Techs have now compared to before is night and day. And that only came from the on going coaching that we are getting from The Training Center. We had Tom Grau out today from The Training Center. We have been using them for three years and they’re great. You’ve heard all the stories… they are all true.

Today we spent talking about goals and the really important stuff that matters in our lives, both at work and in our real lives away from work. Because when it comes down to it, Is there really anything else that matters than our real lives? Work is just an avenue to get us there.

We did some “sales training” stuff too. In less than five minutes of coaching were able to keep a job that we were the highest bidder by 17%. The client called us yesterday to see if we could lower our price closer to the next bidder. We told them we would call him back once we spoke to the estimator to see if there was any room for an adjustment.

They coached us to tell the client that “If I lower the price, how could you ever trust us again? It meant that we lied the first time.” The client agreed and faxed over a signed proposal. Such a great selling technique.

The training really works.
