Ted Butera began his career as a survey research director and campaign strategist for Pennsylvania political candidates. After 6 years of helping candidates overcome fears and apprehensions, and accelerate their natural strengths in their political selling process, Ted began helping business people in the private sector discover that they can sell without the pressure, aggression, manipulation and deception of traditional salespeople.

 

In 1991, he began studying the philosophy of David Sandler. Particularly intrigued by the practice of eliminating surprises, and making the prospects feel comfortable with the selling process, Ted quickly became a fan and a student. He joined The Training Center in 1997. Ted’s clients are successful companies and individuals who are committed to selling more and selling it more easily.

 

Ted has written numerous programs that help inspire and motivate sales teams and their leaders, including “Value vs. Price – Death of a Salesperson”, and “Getting You Out of Your Way”. These programs have been successful at increasing the effectiveness of sales teams in Fortune 500 Companies, mid-sized corporations, small businesses and practices.

 

Ted has a B.S.S. in Public Policy Management from Penn State, where he played baseball before beginning a nine-year semi-pro career. He is currently helping high school ballplayers realize with dreams of playing at the next level.
