The Training Center For Sales & Business Development was our necessary piece of the puzzle for survival, growth, and long-term security.
Everyone knows we are all creatures of habit. Having been in business for over 50 years, Windowizards was no different. We spent the last 20 years building a brand…and have done so effectively. Most of you have probably seen our television commercials, heard our radio ads, and seen our print advertisements. Windowizards had achieved success in getting the phone to ring and getting the customer to walk in the door…but we were not making the most out of those opportunities.
Most of our salespeople had been with the company for 10 years and many for over 20 years. However, the world had changed and my father and uncle, the company founders, were both in different stages of retirement. Our staff needed a new direction and we needed a sales system to help get us to the next level. Most of our sales staff grew up at Windowizards; this was their first and only sales job. While we had their loyalty, we didn’t have a system in place to train them and help them make the most of their talents. They simply were left to do the best they could on their own.
With the changing retail environment, we knew we needed to get our staff trained properly and put a sales system in place to help them succeed on a continuous basis. We needed to make the most of every opportunity – every phone call and every on-site visit by a retail customer to one of our stores.
The Training Center For Sales & Business Development has helped us to create systems and processes that we need to run our business effectively and profitably. My cousin and I attended the Management Cornerstones program at The Training Center to improve our management skills. Over the last 3 years, we have been sending our managers through the program and have had great results. With attending the ongoing management reinforcement programs, we recognized it was time to get our staff involved in a structured sales training program.
We conducted a very thorough search and looked at The Training Center, as well as many of their competitors. After some very frank meetings with The Training Center, we knew their team would work best for us. It has been a completely amazing experience for our people. The Training Center has helped us create the systems and processes we need to run our business effectively. As we continue to grow, sales is the number one priority, and hiring the right salespeople is always of pivotal importance…and is quite a challenge. Using the online sales screening tool and the DISC profiles has helped us streamline the process, be more selective, and make the most of our time and money spent on the hiring process.
As for introducing our loyal sales staff to a new sales training process, of course, we encountered some resistance at the beginning. But The Training Center helped us transition our staff to not only getting used to regular training, but to actually looking forward to our monthly meetings and training sessions. Every member of our staff has gotten something positive out of our partnership with The Training Center. It has provided us all with the tools we need to continue our business and help it flourish for many generations to come. I highly recommend The Training Center to all businesses with a sales staff – let’s face it, in order to truly succeed, you have to invest in your staff and yourself. It has been an investment worth every penny!
